Look out, smart meters are being installed in Vandergrift. I had a run in with a gentleman trying to install a smart meter on my house this afternoon. Ran out and told him, “I don’t want that on my house!”.  He politely acknowledged (which surprised me) and didn’t install the smart meter leaving my mechanical meter in place (for now). He did mention that West Penn would shut my power off if not installed eventually. I’m still slow-brewing on that statement. This is the vehicle he drove.

What’s underhanded about all this is if your fortunate to be at home and catch the installers you can refuse the installing of the smart meter. Most people aren’t home during work hours so they can’t refuse and come home with a smart meter attached to their house with a tag like this on their door.
